About Us

Calvary Chapel Westbrook's Children's Ministry is for children ages: birth to 6th grade. At Westbrook, we are intentional at creating an atmosphere where kids can be themselves in a fun and comfortable setting. Our Sunday School teaching team strives to "Make Sunday morning the BEST 90 minutes of every child's week."

We achieve this by incorporating a time of worship, a character lesson by our adorable puppet" Scruffy," a Bible story, life application and prayer in our children's programming.

In a world that barely has time or energy for relationships, Calvary Chapel Westbrook attempts to transcend the rushed and often impersonal experience many kids face today. By the time your children leave our ministry, it is our goal that each one of them has developed their own personal relationships with Jesus Christ.

Join us as we "Reach Out, Bring In, & Build Up!"

At Calvary Chapel Westbrook, we recognize that children are better ministered to at their own level of understanding. Therefore, our Children's Ministry is run concurrently with adult services. After you are comfortable and have found
Westbrook to be your home, we ask that all parents of nursery to 6th graders help in our Children's Ministry on a rotating basis, one service per month.

Meet Our Staff

Kelli Espiritu

Children's Ministry Director

Favorite Scripture: Deut. 11:18-20
Miss Kelli has been attending Calvary Chapel Westbrook since 1991.
Originally from Santa Maria Ca., Miss Kelli moved to Bakersfield in 1989 on a softball scholarship to Cal State Bakersfield. Miss Kelli's favorite restaurant is "Baja Fresh" and "Shaw's" in Santa Maria. Miss Kelli enjoys spending time with her husband Ernie and three children, Ilyssa, Jordan and Kiani. Ernie and Kelli named their children in alphabetical order following the tradition of Ernie's father. Ernie's brothers and sisters are named "A thru H", so they continued the Espiritu tradition with I, J, K. Ask the Espiritu's the "A thru H" names the next time you see them. Miss Kelli's loves supporting her kid's school functions as well as their club soccer, NJB basketball, softball, and oral language endeavors. Miss Kelli also enjoys helping others who are in ministry by training and teaching workshops. Besides Vacation Bible School, AWANA, and Wagon Train, Miss Kelli's favorite time of the year is when she spends Christmas at Mammoth and New Year's at Carpenteria Beach with family and friends. Stop by the awning this Sunday, Miss Kelli would love to meet you and your family.
